Projects

I tried to answer a simple question in my PhD project: what are the "solution", "uncertainty" and "sensitivity" in full-waveform inversion? I presented a new (non-frequentist and non-Bayesian) probabilistic setting for inverse problems and a stochastic full-waveform inversion algorithm (BMWI). I applied the algorithm to a real dataset acquired during a marine seismic experiment in a shallow-water river delta with ocean bottom cables. I provided the estimates of the solution, uncertainty and sensitivity of the measuring procedure.
