Von 2000 bis 2006 habe ich Geophysik an der TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) studiert und dort mit dem Diplom abgeschlossen. Als Mitarbeiter des Institutes für Geophysik der TUBAF (2007-2009) und des GPI (seit 2009) habe ich mein Forschungsschwerpunkt auf die Weiterentwicklung der akustischen Wellenformtomographie gelegt, worauf ich auch promoviert habe.
