What is SOFI2D?

SOFI2D stands for Seismic mOdeling with FInite differences and denotes our 2-D viscoelastic time domain massive parallel modeling code for P- and SV-waves. The manual and a reference paper is included in the download archive or can be downloaded here.

How to proceed with the Download?

Please submit the information specified in the form below. These information are kept confidential and will not be passed to anybody beside of our legal department. Please note, that we will validate the information by, e.g., checking if your email address matches the domain of your institution. Therefore, it may take a little while for you to receive the download link. We also reserve the right to refuse the license if we receive incomplete or incorrect information. When necessary, we will contact you first.

We also set up an internal newsletter that informs about bug fixes, new software releases and general issues regarding the FD-codes. This newsletter/email-list is only open to registered members and can be used to submit inquiries directly to the whole user community. If you wish to join this Newsletter state "YES" in the corresponding form box.

You will first receive a confirmation-email entitled "Registration: Download SOFI2D." including the information you just submitted. After validation, we will send you the actual download link to obtain SOFI2D. Please copy and paste this link into your browser. For information on your first steps and detailed instructions how to use the code, we kindly refer to the manual (guide) in the download archive in /sofi2D/doc/.
