 What is SOFI2.5D?

SOFI2.5D stands for Seismic mOdeling with FInite differences and denotes our 2.5-D viscoelastic time domain massive parallel modeling code. The true 3-D wave propagation at cost of a 2-D wave simulation is due to the cylindric coordinate system and the symmetry with respect to a coordinate axis. Therefore, this code is especially useful for the modeling of waves in and around tubes (e.g. boreholes and tunnels). The manual and a reference paper is included in the download archive.
