Geophysical Institute (GPI)

The Geophysical Institute is located in buildings 6.42, 6.36 and 6.34 on the west Campus.

  • By train: From Karlsruhe central station by tram 2E (not S2), direction Siemensallee. Exit the tram at Hertzstraße.

  • By car from highway A5: Via Exit 45 (Karlsruhe-Mitte) onto road K9657 (Südtangente); after approximately 7 km, take federal road B36 in the direction Neureut (Exit No. 8). At the 4th traffic light, turn right into Siemensallee (direction Städtisches Klinikum), at the 2nd traffic light, turn left into Hertzstraße. After 200 m, the entrance of the Geophysical Institute (GPI) is visible on your right.

  • By car from highway A65 / B10: Via Exit 8, direction Mannheim/Neureut (two left turns). After the 4th traffic light, turn right into Siemensallee (direction Städtisches Klinikum), at the 2nd traffic light, turn left into Hertzstraße. After 200 m, the entrance of the Geophysical Institute (GPI) is visible on your right.
