Abstract

Full waveform inversion is a key seismic imaging technique, its resolution, however, is limited by many factors. In this study, our study has improved the full waveform inversion technique. This study introduces advancements in full waveform inversion techniques by employing receiver functions and ambient noise surface waves data, facilitating high-resolution three-dimensional imaging of the crustal and uppermost mantle structures. This overcomes full-waveform inversion's constraint on waveform frequency, essentially enhancing the resolution and realizing multi-data integrated full waveform inversion. Applying this method to the Hangay intraplate volcanic area, the imaging provides important evidence for the origins of the intraplate volcanoes.
