Dr. Lars Houpt works as a research fellow in the ‘Applied Geophysics’ Group at the Geophysical Institute (GPI).

He received his Diploma (equivalent to master) in Physics at the Technische Universität Berlin and was awarded a doctor’s degree at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he dealt with seismic monitoring of CO2 Sequestration in a depleted gas reservoir. Afterwards he worked 8 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
